Jacket or vest!?!

So i'm having difficulty with deciding whether or not i want to make this garment into a jacket or vest. It's really adorable fabric but i think that if i make it into a jacket it'll be hard matching up the lines. BUT i'm not a huge vest wearer. I LOVE jackets. So maybe i'm just being lazy.. advice?
