Writing Isn't Easy..
So sometimes I get stuck. I get stuck writing for this blog, I get stuck writing for myself, I feel like i literally forget words when I'm speaking. But then there are days when I find inspiration in the smallest of things.. But those are usually the time when I don't have a pen and paper handy, haha. Thats just how it works. Without any "formal" training, I've basically been comparing myself to others that I admire. Chuck Palahniuk, Kurt Vonnegut, Steinbeck, Anne Rice, these are some of many that I want to be like. But I've also resorted to reading "How to Write" books, which almost feels kind of silly. The one I've been reading lately is called "Write Good Or Die." I'm not finished with it, but so far I really enjoy it. That's all I have right now. Night. :)

New Business Venture?
So if you've ever read my blog, you know that I enjoy using illustrator for fabric design. I haven't had a very good computer for a while so I've been missing out on my favorite hobby! But its not just something I want to stay a hobby, I would love to make a career out of this. So if anyone wants to commission me for some custom fabric you can message me here, or my email at bi.polar.sewer@gmail.com. Just remember I'm still a noob (newbie) at this. I did have an independent study for school, but I feel like I'm still learning. I was thinking about selling the prints through etsy, or should I just sell it through a spoonflower account (which is the website I would be using to print the fabric.)? Let me know what you think!

Yeah, I'm Nerdy. #1
So I feel like, in general, I'm a very nerdy person. But that's not me making fun of myself.. I celebrate my nerdyness. So this is the first post of many that will help me describe who I am.
I LOVE World of Warcraft. (sometimes saying those words shock me as well, haha)
I never in a million years expected that. But its just a fun game! I love fantasy and mythical creatures, so it sort of makes sense. I got roped into playing it when an ex had a free month pass. But after awhile that became the only thing keeping us together, so that didn't work out. But I still love the game. Haven't played it in awhile but once I get a new computer (hopefully soon). I'll be able to play again :)
And on that final note..
Horde all the way!

My Little Bro.
So I typically don't post things about my family on here but I'm not really sure why. Family has always been a big part of my life and it obviously affects my creativity in more ways than one. When I write sometimes I think about family dynamic and how sometimes we argue and have a grudge but I wouldn't change my family for the world. So I dedicate this post to my little bro, Dave.
We definitely fight more than we don't but being three years apart that can tend to happen. He's always been a bit of a rebel, but with shocking red hair what else can you expect? His intelligence has gotten the best of him more than one, he just doesn't know when to stop pushing limits. But I will always love him and think hes an amazing person.
Recently he joined the air force, and I'm extremely proud! I started a drawing of us and I can't wait for him to get back so I can show it to him.
Here's how its going so far:
I don't know if you can see the difference in the two pictures with the shading on his tux. I use pastels and that can tend to get messy. I'm also kinda odd and do not like to draw faces so I'm trying to use my shading skills to make up for that. I just can't wait to fix spray it and then hang it. I'll show you more progress as I have time to work on it.

Urban Outfitters: Most Wanted
So sometimes when I'm broke I do some online shopping.. and then quickly exit so I don't actually purchase something. (please tell me I'm not the only crazy to do that.) Anyway I was reading the Dainty Squid and of course she just had to have something from Urban Outfitters on there (hehe). So then I shopped for 45 minutes and here are the things that really stuck out.
1.
I'm not one for Ipod accessories but I think this would kinda be neat in my room. The 80's boombox style is playful and I'm such a black color person that its perfect haha.

Lord knows I don't need a new bed spread, but I love the colors! At work my dress code is black on black, and that can spill into my everyday clothes. But something this bright would definitely lift my spirits on those bummed out days. My bed is also where I do most everything, blogging, reading, writing, netflix. My grandmother and I have a joke that I'm in love with my bed.
3.
Headphones! I typically like the earbud headphones when I have to have headphones, but these ones are so fun. The big earmuff ones have always reminded me of my father, but with these on I don't think I'd feel like an old man. Haha.
Now its back to Lord of the Rings and maybe some tumblr. Have a good Monday!

New year.. A little late
Hellllllo..
So my life has been crazy since the last time I posted, so I'll make catching up short. :)
Well I quit my design job. I wasn't happy anymore with the work I was doing and I felt like my learning had plateaued at the position I was in. My boss was really cool with it and she understood. I still love to design, (not so much sew since I sometimes get frustrated) but I'm dabbling in the merchandising/management part of my degree. I recently interviewed for a promotion and I should find out this week if I receive it. At this job I had been progressing in my management skills in the cosmetic department. I became the counter manager of our fragrances and the assistant area sales manager of the overall cosmetics dept. Never in a million years did I think that I would be in cosmetics. I have learned so much about make up and have learned the benefits of helping someone feel more beautiful, which is a wonderful feeling.
Other than that I've been doing a lot of reading. I got a kindle for Christmas and I've pretty much read as much as I could. I'm currently reading the Anne Rice Vampire series. Ironically I'm also in the middle of reading the Bible. I know that might be a little random but Anne Rice also has a series on faith and it spills over into her vampire books as well. One of my biggest dreams is to become an author. And in the novel I'm currently writing I'm searching for the perfect bible verses to help my character evolve. Hopefully that will make sense once I'm published.. haha
Thats all for now.. Let me know what books you're reading/ or are wanting to. :)

Tiny collection
I have some new designs for a mini shirt line.
They are not as cohesive as I'd like them to be but I'm still experimenting. Learning. Having some fun. I'm enjoying sketching and figuring out how to actually make the project in my mind.
As you can see this design was inspired by this little tear out. I can't wait to show you guys more. :)
Heres a little sneak peak.. haha
